To reach this cemetery from Lexington, drive south on Cotton Grove (Hwy
8), turn right or west onto Lexington Drive and continue to State Street.
This cemetery is owned and maintained by the city of Lexington, under
a designated cemetery board. This has been basically a colored cemetery
but is now open for burial of all colors.
I walked and read this cemetery in July of 2006, using my digital camera.
This includes all existing and legible headstones and markers to that
date.
