From the intersection of Highway 301 (Crain Highway) and Highway 6 (Port Tobacco Road) go west/southwest on Highway 6 for 2 miles until you reach Chapel Point Road. Turn on Chapel Point Road and go south for .5 miles until you reach Commerence Street. Turn west on Commerence Street and you are right there.

This cemetery is next to the old courthouse, on the grounds next to what used to be a church. At one time the cemetery belonged to the Baptist Church that was there. The Baptist Church existed from 1903 until 1946. The cemetery is well taken care of. The family next to the courthouse sees to the care of this cemetery.

I first visited and walked this cemetery on Jan 28, 2004.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
