Mountain View Memorial Park was established in 1935, originally named Mountain View Burial Park. The cemetery was acquired in 1984 by Evergreen Memorial Trust, the company that also owns Evergreen Burial Park in Roanoke, VA. Mountain View Memorial Park gets its name from the view of the Blue Ridge mountain chain.
