Cemetery History

Lee Memorial Park was founded by J. Livingston Dillow and others in the early 1950s. The first "official" burial was on November 26, 1953, that of Inez Graham. However, there is one burial that dates back to 1795, that of Earl E. Williams. The cemetery was officially named Lee Memorial Gardens in 1977 when it was sold to Terry Estep, H. Ronnie Montgomery, and Billy Frazier. During this time Lee Memorial Gardens was expanded with the acquisition of additional land for the Hickory Flats area and the addition of the Rose Hill Park-West site. On December 31, 2015, Lee Memorial Gardens was acquired by Douglas McConnell and Jason McConnell.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
