Cemetery History

First known death in the township was LC Schermerhorn in 1858 who was laid to rest in the ground now occupied as a cemetery, on section 25’.  This old section has about 60 to 70 lots.

The original cemetery is located on the east side of Lobdell Rd, right at the intersection with Ridgeview Dr. The cemetery was expanded to the north-west corner of Lobdell Rd & Ridgeview Dr. The newest section of the cemetery is on the east side of Lobdell Rd, just south of the original cemetery.
