This is a family cemetery on private land, no burials anymore but well cared for. It sits on the banks of Drywood Creek 1/2 mile north of the now gone town of Drywood.

To get into the cemetery you have to go through a locked gate, and need permission. Land belongs to Mr. & Mrs. Simpson.

There are unmarked graves in this cemetery that reportedly are bushwackers shot and buried right where they fell. There are also several stones broken or weather worn which were unreadable.

From Tombstone Transcriptions by Wm. Cuthbertson walked 5/02/2000 no new burials.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
