Cemetery Records

The transcription below was originally published in Alabama Genealogical Society Magazine, Volume 2, Number 2, April 1968. It was transcribed by Mrs. W. Burgess Mahan. She provides the following description of its location...

"About 6 1/2 miles east of Russellville on Alabama Highway #24, near the Waco Community. Grave can be seen, in the yard of Roy B. Davis, from the south side of the road. (People in the community state that in years past other graves were around this one. This is the only one left in the old cemetery.)"

SKINNER, Theo. Elder, died May 12, 1845, in the 65th year of his age, "We part to meet again"

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
