Vest Grave, Joseph Creek, Asotin County, WA, Location: In SE corner of NW 1/4, Sec 10, T6N, R46E., W.M. Transcribed by Jill Boles from Robert Weatherly's work, with permission.

A lone grave of a young girl between 12 and 16 years old, in a field on Joseph Creek, has all but disappeared over the years. Young Annie Vest died and was buried there before 1900. Very little at this late date can be learned about her.

The grave is located in the Heimark field (also known as the Rogers field), about 150 feet from the Joseph Creek Road, and some 50 feet from the south edge of the field. The grave was on the old Bly-Edgmand place, now owned by the Magden family. It is at the 1/2 way mark between mile post 30 and 31.

VEST, Annie, bef 1900, abt 12-16 yrs old

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
