The cemetery is located in the town of West Point on King William
Ave. It is located seven tenths of a mile North from the intersection
of Rt. 33 (14th St.) and Rt. 30 (King William Ave.)
The cemetery is owned and very well maintained by the town of
West Point. The oldest plot was recorded in town records on Sep
27, 1879. There are tombstones with slightly earlier dates such
as Charlotte S. Hale, born Feb 08, 1794, died Jul 13, 1879. The
Sunny Slope Cemetery Foundation accepts donations for special
improvements.
This transcription was created from photographs I took as I walked
the cemetery in May and June of 2007. There are graves without
tombstones and and some I could not read but to the best of my
knowledge all other tombstones are included.
