This cemetery is located in Overton County, Tennessee, south of the City of Livingston on Highway 42, south of the Spring Creek Bridge, on the west side of of Highway 42, in a field on a small hill , with large shade trees around it . The property is now owned by: Blaylock 's, but was once owned by the Poteets' .

There are very many graves marked with field stones but family members: Mary Poteet Qualls and others told me that there are many family members resting here in this family cemetery. I visited the Poteet Family Cemetery in the summer of 1998 . I recorded this cemetery in the memory of our Poteet heritage.

The Headstone reads death as 1903 but Family say that she died in 1904, from Bible Record.  Elvira Gore Poteet is the daughter of Mounce and Eleanor Crawford Gore .
