Hughes Family Cemetery is located approximately 2.5 miles south
of Neeses, SC, on the west side of US Hwy 321, in a wooded area
next to the railroad at the SW corner of a narrow hay field owned
by Mr. Tony Fogle.
It is advised that one obtain permission from the property owner,
before visiting this cemetery. I was able to locate this cemetery
with the help of Mr. Lindy Hughes, who was born and raised in
the area.
I walked and read all existing and legible headstones on Jul
15, 1993. This is a complete list of all known burials. There
is at least one unmarked burial site.
