Hughes Family Cemetery is located approximately 2.5 miles south of Neeses, SC, on the west side of US Hwy 321, in a wooded area next to the railroad at the SW corner of a narrow hay field owned by Mr. Tony Fogle.

It is advised that one obtain permission from the property owner, before visiting this cemetery. I was able to locate this cemetery with the help of Mr. Lindy Hughes, who was born and raised in the area.

I walked and read all existing and legible headstones on Jul 15, 1993. This is a complete list of all known burials. There is at least one unmarked burial site.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
