From Waynesburg, follow Route 21 West approximately 6 miles. The cemetery is very large and will be on the right hand side of the road just east of the small town of Rogersville.

Established in 1896, Rosemont Cemetery is the largest cemetery in the western portion of Greene County. It is maintained year round.

Due to it's large size I have broken it down into six sections. The oldest stones are located in the back of the cemetery because Route 21 once ran there, but was reconfigured in the 1920s and now runs in the front of the cemetery. See map

I walked and read this cemetery Mar 02-11, 2007. It includes all existing and legible stones and markers. I also have digital photographs of all the stones and would share them with anyone interested.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
