Hi everyone, I am Shirley a. (BATES) James and I was raised in Saybrook, Ohio right next to a cemetery that might interest some of you.  When I went back to visit my father a few weeks ago I stopped off at the township to get a copy of the cards on my family that were buried at the Saybrook Cemetery that is located on Rt.45, and while I was there I happened to ask the clerk if she had any info on the Bates Cemetery located on Rt.84?  Boy was I surprised when she told me that she did, so I asked her for a copy of all of the names and info that she had.  In the next 3 emails I will copy the entire list just as she gave it to me.  Hope it is of some help to someone besides me!!

Here is an unofficial list of all of the people that are buried in the BATES Cemetery.  It is located on South Ridge West, on Knoll, south side of Route 84.  The list was compiled by Salinda Lohman and Mary E. Hall on Sept 25, 1955.  Most of the grave stones are now to the point that they can not be read so we should all be very thankful to these ladies for their forethought to have done this list when they could still be read.
