West Road Cemetery

Rte. 49 thru Constantia, heading West, Lower Road comes in from the South (just past the curve in 49 that starts to take you away from the lake.). Take Lower Road, still heading West. West Road comes in on the South side of Lower Road. Cemetery is about 1 mile from the intersection of Lower & West Road on south side.

This is quite near the West Monroe Town border. West road runs along the northern border of the Three Mile Bay State Wildlife Preserve and looks like the only road that enters the preserve.

This small family cemetery is on private property. One should ask permission to visit from the owner.

We found three tombstones were found but there appears to be other burials here. This family cemetery is now part of a flower garden making it difficult to locate any fallen stones or fieldstone markers.

Virginia Ackerman and I transcribed all existing tombstones in this cemetery when we visited it on Sep 04, 2002.
