This cemetery is located near North Syracuse Police Station at 600 South Bay Road in North Syracuse, NY.

I have walked through this cemetery many times, but never thought about taking notes. The more that I have gotten into my family genealogy, the more information that I have found from lists of local cemeteries. With the only other online list of this cemetery having only 28 entries, I thought it was my turn to help out other genealogists.

Since the cemetery is so large it will take me a while to get through it all. I am starting with the older section that is set between Route 11 and South Bay Rd. I will update this file with each "section" as I complete it. I have taken down the information accurately as possible.

There are many stones that are partially or totally unreadable, but I gleaned as much information from them that I could.

The cemetery is split by South Bay Road, and each of those 2 areas is large. I have included a "map" of the sections as I see them for the west area between Main Street (also called Rt. 11) and South Bay Road. I hope that this will help anyone that is looking for a particular gravesite. For the section on the east side of South Bay Rd, there are section markers there and I will be using those ids for that side of the cemetery.

For names that are on the same headstone, I have indicated wife of, husband of, etc. without quotes. Any of my notes that are in quotes are etched into the stones themselves. I completed this transcription in June of 2008.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
