To reach the cemetery from center of DeRuyter, drive west on Rte 13 to the edge of town, then left or south onto Cemetery Street. It is another ¼ of a mile on the east side of the road and west of the reservoir. If you are coming into De Ruyter from Cuyler turn right, or south when you reach Cemetery Rd.

This is a cemetery is owned and maintained by the city of DeRuyter. The town of DeRuyter is about 20 miles northeast of Cortland NY.

Jean Warren, Frances Bushaw, Helen Newell and I completed a walk through the cemetery together, then we added what birthdates and husband and wives we could. The earliest headstone appears to be about 1816. This work was done in the summer of 2002.
