Driving directions from the junction of Mo 291 & Mo 78, drive east .9 mile to Speck Road, turn left (north), go .4 mile to entrance to George Owens Nature Park.

George B Owens donated land in Jackson County Missouri for a Nature Park. When he died he was buried on the south side of the Lodge. I spoke with Jeff Umbreit the Park Supervisor (816-325-7951) and he verified that Mr. Owens was indeed buried in this park.

This includes all existing and legible readings from stones from when I visited this cemetery on Aug 15, 2007.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
