The Elmwood Cemetery is located on New Lothrop Road, 1/2 mile south
of New Lothrop, Michigan.
The cemetery is owned and maintained by the Hazelton Township
offices. Contact address is 11215 Riley Road, Flushing, MI 48433.
This survey includes all names on markers, including spouses
and/or children who are not yet deceased. There is also a GAR
Monument, “In Memory of Our Fallen Heroes”
This compilation was made through tombstone inscriptions and
use of the Shiawassee District Library’s, Shiawassee County Surname
Index and the Social Security Death Index.
Sharon Thomas and I surveyed and researched this transcription,
completing it in Jun of 2005 with additions in 2011.
