Mount Avon Cemetery was established in the early 1800s by the Graham Family, who were one of the earliest settlers in Rochester. The original cemetery consisted of one acre in size but over the years it has increased to its present size of 22 acres. It is located in a residential area. The streets bordering the cemetery are Wilcox, Third, Taylor, and First. The cemetery is very well maintained by the City of Rochester.
