Lat: 37° 38' 43"N, Lon: 95° 30' 26"W
Canville Twp, Sec 1

Contributed by Linda Brower, Feb 02, 2006 [ltbrower@yahoo.com]. Total records = 29.

To reach this cemetery, in Chanute from Main Street drive south on Plummer Ave to 21st Street. Then turn west for 2 miles on Brown Street, then turn left and go south 1 mile. Cemetery is on the southeast corner.

There are numerous temporary markers, many with no names or dates and many graves without any markers of any kind. This old cemetery does not appear to be used anymore.

This is a complete listing of all markers found when I canvassed this cemetery on Sep 04, 2002.

What makes us Different?

Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
