From the Vermillion County Courthouse in downtown Danville, proceed north on Hwy 136 for 2.5 miles. Turn right (east) onto Winter Ave (aka road 2000 N) 3.2 miles. Turn left (north) onto Rd.1970 E and proceed 0.2 miles. The cemetery is on the right (east).

The Lamb Cemetery is located on property purchased by John Lamb through Land Patents in 1824 and 1825 and remained in his family for many years. Since some dates of death preceed 1824, the cemetery may have initially existed on Government land.

The property is maintained but is old and many tombstones are toppled, broken, missing, weathered, or otherwise illegible. Many of the inscriptions listed were deciphered with great difficulty and digital enhancement but total accuracy is not ensured.

I walked and surveyed this cemetery on Oct 24, 2006. All legible stones are included.
