From the crossroads of Hwy 141 & Hwy 210. Go North approx 1mile to 9th
St. Turn left (west) and go approx 3/4 mile to S Ave. Turn right (north)
on S Ave. go 1/4 mile. The cemetery will be on the left side.
From the obituary of Dr. David J. Brookings in April 1930. It states
that he with two other persons selected the area for the Woodward Cemetery
forty-five years prior to his death.
This cemetery is now owned by Beaver Township, Dallas Co, IA, and is
well maintained by the Beaver Township Board. It is in very good condition
and still active. Keep up the good work Twp. Board Members.
I walked and read this cemetery in Aug & Sep of 2005, completed
transcription, from tombstones only, on Oct 07, 2005.
