Greene Family Cemetery
Located 3 miles west of Stephens,
in Ouachita County, Arkansas
Surveyed by Roy Richard Green and Benita Green Payne in 1983
The Greene family came from North Carolina, lived in Georgia for a
number of years, then migrated to Ouachita County, Arkansas in 1845.
They were one of the first settlers in the area that later became Stephens,
Arkansas. They had a large farm where they raised cattle, corn and cotton
as their main crops.
There are also two unreadable headstones in the cemetery. The names
are documented here. Some of the Greenes had an "e" on the end, some
did not.
