He married and moved to Panama working as a carpenter for the Engineering and Construction Division, Isthmus Canal Company. He lived at Gorgona, Canal Zone for two months. He died on November 18, 1905, was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
