Cemetery History

The land for this cemetery was donated and dedicated for use as a cemetery by Abigail and Robert Doak, in memory of their son George W Doak in 1829.

This cemetery was repaired by members of the Doak family at their own expense. It was fenced off and is bordered by a farmer's field. A wall made of brick was erected in 1983 and the old stones embedded in the wall. Some of the bricks in the wall have begun to crumble already.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
