Kingaroy Shire, Queensland, Australia

Total records = 3.
Wylarah is approx. 46km west of Kingaroy and Sarum stands some 10km away
from Wylarah.
The property was selected by Vivian Salisbury in the 1890s. The single
grave marks a tragedy that occured in 1909.
Three teenage girls, cousins home from boarding school, were drowned
in a swimming hole on the property. The girls were buried together in
a single coffin. The grave is marked by a sandstone cross and surrounded
by a timber fence.
Although the date on the grave is 11 May 1909, Alfred Greenup, who
was called out to search for the girls, records the day as the 4th of
January in his diary.
