Buchanan County, IA Cemetery Records
Buchanan County is a county located in the northeastern part of the state of Iowa in the United States. It was founded in 1837 and named after James Buchanan, who would later become the 15th President of the United States. The county seat of Buchanan County is Independence, and it is home to a rich and diverse history, including a fascinating cemetery history.

Today, there are over 40 cemeteries located throughout the county, each with its own unique history and significance.
