Directions: Located north west of downtown Cheyenne, outside of city limits, the cemetery sits at the end of Hildreth Rd, about a mile from where is branch off of Round Top Rd (Highway 222).

Background: Cheyenne National Cemetery is the state’s first and only national cemetery. In January 2017, VA purchased the land located southeast of US Department of Agriculture Research Center on Hildreth Road for $64,099. Construction began in 2019 on the 5.01-acre site. The cemetery was formally dedicated on October 8, 2020, and opened for burials later that year.
