Directions: Located at the north end of Bayview Cemetery, within the city of Bellingham. It's main entrance is along the south end of Bayview Cemetery from Lakeway Dr, about 400 feet east of the intersection with Woburn St.

Background: Congregation Beth Israel in Bellingham, Washington, was formed in 1908 by a small but growing group of Jewish immigrants, many of whom had come to the area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. By the 1910s, the congregation had become sufficiently established to acquire land for Beth Israel Cemetery, and later constructed its first permanent synagogue building in 1925.
