Directions: Located south-east of Yelm in an area known as "Four Corner" (Vail Rd and Bald Hill Rd). The cemetery lies to the east of that intersection, at the south end of Cemetery Rd SE.

Background: Yelm Cemetery held its first burial in 1881, that of Mary Powell. The land was donated by James Longmire, local pioneer and trailblazer to Mount Rainier. Among those laid to rest here George Edwards, an English pioneer, and Thomas Pierce, the second Sheriff of Yakima County. In recognition of its historical importance, the cemetery was officially added to the Thurston County Historic Register in 2020.
