Directions: From Eastbound I-90 thru Spokane, take exit 285 towards Appleway Blvd/ Sprague Ave to the right, turn right onto S Thierman Rd and continue ½ mile. Cemetery is at corner of E 8th Ave & S Thierman Rd.

Background:

Earliest records show the cemetery was established in 1887. Woodlawn Cemetery was established by the Southern Methodist Church. A year after its establishment the name of the cemetery was changed to Englewood Cemetery. The last burial in the cemetery was to take place in 1968, after which began several decades of neglect and decline. In the 1990's local neighbors volunteered their time restore the grounds. The County of Spokane had taken over control of the cemetery and deeded it to Fairmount Cemetery Association. In 2003, the cemetery was completely restored and is now active with new burials.​
