The following was quoted from, "Index to Cemeteries of Pacific County, Washington" published by Pacific County Genealogical Society...

LUM YOU GRAVE, Sec. 35 T14N R9W on the 2000 line road off the old So. Bend to Raymond Road, Lum You was hanged Jan 31, 1902 at South Bend and buried on land owned by Deputy Sheriff."

Background:

Location: Sec 35, T14N, R9W

This grave is on private property that was owned by the then sheriff, Zack B. Brown. For years the local Chinese visited the grave of Lum You at this sight. It seems that Oscar Bloom had robbed Lum You, so the latter found Mr. Bloom later that day and shot him dead. Lum You was found guilty of murder and was hanged in front of quite a large crowd.
