Directions: Located within the southern half of Bainbridge Island, the cemetery sits along the west side of Old Mill Rd NE, about 1/2 mile south of the intersection with Blakely Ave.

Background: Hillcrest Cemetery was established in 1958 as a modern memorial park–style cemetery, distinguished by its park-like setting and flat grave markers. Unlike the island’s older pioneer cemeteries, Hillcrest primarily reflects the post–World War II history of the community and serves as the final resting place for many longtime island residents, families, and veterans. In 2018, ownership was transferred to Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island, which continues to manage and maintain the grounds.
