Directions: St. Johns Cemetery is about 10 miles northwest of Almira (Lincoln County) and just inside Grant County at the intersection of county roads UNE and 48NE.
Background:
It was formed on 11 May 1900, by the sale of land from Robert Kirby to the Catholic Diocese of Nisqually. At that time, it was in Douglas County, becoming part of Grant County when it was formed in 1909.
It is small, unfenced and untended, but easily accessible from the road. A church once stood on the southeast corner of the cemetery grounds, but as numbers dwindled, it closed with statues going to the church in Coulee Dam and bell to St. Henry's in Grand Coulee.
