Directions: Located about 2 miles south of Kalama City limits, along the east side of Interstate 5, and the west side of Cloverdale Rd, and just north of Mill Creek.

Background: Martin's Bluff Cemetery is named for William H. Martin (1809-1879), an Oregon Trail pioneer who settled near Deer Island in 1851. Following the death in 1853 of his three-year-old daughter, Mary, Martin established a cemetery for family and friends on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River. The cemetery is perhaps most tragically known for a May 1902 boating accident that claimed four lives, including Martin's grandson, Herbert. The small cemetery of approximately 130 plots no longer accept new burials.
