Directions: Located along the north side of Mike Clark Rd, about 11 miles southwest of Keithville. Best route there is to take State Highway 789 to Mike Clark Rd, turn west.

Background: Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery primarily serves a 75 mile radius which includes northwest Louisiana, northeast Texas and southwest Arkansas. In 1999, the state veterans cemetery program was established by the Louisiana Legislature within the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs due to a limited amount of national cemetery burial space in the state. Eight years later, in 2007, the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery was dedicated. When at full capacity, the cemetery will accommodate more than 22,000 burial sites.
