Directions: Located about 4.5 miles north of the West Butte community center, along the west side of W. Butte Rd.

Background: Noyesburg Cemetery lies on the west side of the Sutter Buttes, off West Butte Road. It marks the site of a small early settlement, Noyesburg, on land associated with pioneer Allen S. Noyes. Early 20th-century USGS maps still showed a school and buildings there; later maps mark only the cemetery. The earliest stone in a local survey is Annie E. Gilpatric, 1868. The cemetery is fenced and gated; the Sutter Cemetery District holds the key.
