Directions: Located in the western edge of Palm Springs, Welwood Murray Cemetery is located at Alejo Rd's far western end. It currently sits at the northern point of O'Donnell Golf Course.

Background: This is the first community cemetery in Palm Springs and was established for the early settlers by Welwood Murray in 1894, the first burial being his son, Welwood Erskine Murray.

Welwood Murray Cemetery is now owned and maintained by the Palm Springs Cemetery District. The district was established Aug 29, 1917 and also operates the Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City.
