Background: Memory Garden Memorial Park was founded in May of 1956 by Richard and Franklin Keeline, hosting its first burial in 1960. It remained under their operation until 1977 when it was purchased by the Utter McKinley Mortuaries. By April 1980, William J. McKinley transformed it into a complete mortuary facility, becoming the first mortuary-cemetery in North Orange County.
