Directions: Located in Calistoga's west end, the cemetery sits along the south side of Foothill Blvd (Highway 128), about 1,000 feet before the intersection with Petrified Forest Rd.

Background: Pioneer Cemetery dates back to the 1870’s (Circa 1877). It is the final resting place of many of the famous upper Napa Valley pioneers. It wasn’t until 1885 that the site was surveyed and permanently established as a cemetery. Pioneer Cemetery is maintained in a natural setting of Valley Oaks and wild vinca vines. Many of the records related to the cemetery have been lost, therefore, the City has placed a strict limitation on new burials.
