Directions: Located inside Fort McClellan, the cemetery is located along the west side of Iron Mountain Rd, near the intersection with Goode Rd (10th St), about 500 feet from Iron Mountain Rd.
Background: Fort McClellan Post Cemetery originally supported the once large and active Fort McClellan Army Post which closed in 1999 due to the Base Realignment and Closure process. Despite the closure the cemetery continued to remain active and a regular stop for many visitors to the area. The cemetery transferred from the Army to the National Cemetery Administration in September 2020.
