Cemetery History

Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery was dedicated on May 6, 2011. The site was once part of the Radford Army Ammunition Plan, Although production didn’t occur on the site of the cemetery, the 80-acre site is considered fitting for a veterans cemetery since so many people in the nearby town Dublin worked at the munitions plant during WWII.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
