Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery
Leeds, Megantic County, Quebec

Contributed by Leslie Nutbrown, Sep 21, 2005 . Total records = 35.

Leeds Village (St.Jacques de Leeds) is located on Rte 269, the original Craig's Road. From Thetford Mines (Route 112) there are several ways to get to Leeds. Take Rte 267, 269 or 271. The cemetery is at the North end of town directly opposite the much larger Saint James Anglican Cemetery.

This small Weslyan Methodist Cemetery was used from the mid 1800s until the 1920s.

Susan Nutbrown and I walked and transcribed this cemetery in May of 2005.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
