Saint Sebastien is a scenic, small town between Lake Megantic and Thetford Mines on route 263. It was formerly part of Frontenac County until the counties were abolished and changed into Municipal Regional County Municipalities. It is now part of le Granit MRC. The cemetery is on rue Commerciale which becomes route de 1er Rang.
The Parish was created in 1869. The first cemetery was closed in 1913 and the remains of those interred there were moved to the new cemetery at that time.
Records linked below were transcribed from tombstone inscriptions by Leslie and Susan Nutbrown during their visit to the cemetery in 2020. An additional 433 entries were transcribed from church records from the period of 1869-1940 for persons interred without monuments.
