Mount Zion Cemetery

Mount Zion Cemetery is located at 244 Highway #52 at the corner of Concession 2 Road West.
The cemetery was established in 1862. It is currently under the care of the "New" City of Hamilton. It is an active cemetery and is kept in excellent condition.
I started reading the stones on 20 May 2001 and after several visits completed on 12 Jun 2001. I returned on Aug 20 and 21, 2002 to update recent burials, inscriptions and check some dates that did not quite look right to me.
There are many burials that have not yet had monuments erected and I suspect stones that have long since disappeared in the oldest section of the cemetery. This is a complete list of all existing markers at this time.
