Cemetery History

In 1958 the City of Waterloo purchased the L.S. Bechtel farm consisting of 175 acres. In 1966, seventy-seven acres was set aside for Parkview Cemetery. In 1978 a crematorium was added to the existing chapel to meet the needs of those who choose cremation.

Parkview Cemetery is located at 335 University Avenue E. Surrounded by parks and trails, the 37-acre site offers traditional and cremation lots.

It has a chapel on-site and has plot space dedicated to various faith groups, cultures, veterans and age groups.
