Campbell Cemetery
Brant County, Ontario, Canada

Lot 32, Concession 1, Brantford Township, Brant County.

Contributed by Murray E. Fair, May 06, 2006, last edited May 07, 2006 [murrayfair@rogers.com]. Total records = 4.

To find the cemetery, travel 1 km north on Highway 24, from Power Line Road. Off to the east is a farm field and in the corner there is a small hill with trees and undergrowth. That is the cemetery.

This cemetery is located in the corner of a farm field, on private farm land. It is not accessible by road, therefore it is necessary to get permission to walk across the farm field to get to it.

This cemetery is inactive and in a very sad state of neglect. It is overgrown with large trees and undergrowth of bushes. The tombstones are all broken into pieces and most difficult to read. None are left standing to mark the actual graves. It is quite possible that there are several graves there. I could only read four of the stones. Information has it that the farm was owned by a Campbell Family many years ago and that is when the cemetery was created.

I visited this cemetery on April 18th, 2006, read and recorded the tombstones that could be read.

    What makes us Different?

    Single-sourced, not crowd-sourced

Each transcription we publish comes from a single-source, be it the cemetery office, government office, church office, archived document, a tombstone transcriber. Other websites already do an excellent job of crowd-sourcing a single cemetery together. But genealogists also need to see the original records from a single source. That's what we offer.
