Directions: From Fitch Bay take Route 247 South toward Beebe. After several miles turn left on Bissell Road. The cemetery is less than one kilometer on the left in a grove of trees in the middle of a field.
Background:
This old cemetery has seen better days, and today is abandoned. On the day of my visit I could see evidence of vandalism and there were stones that appeared to have been recently broken. This is such a shame since the cemetery is out of the way and one would have to go to considerable effort to purposely do damage to these old stones, some of which have been here since 1835.
This family cemetery at one time must have been attractive with its stone wall border. But now it has become overgrown and most of what few stones exist have been broken.
