Directions: From Lennoxville, follow Route 108 East towards Cookshire. Then take Route 251 to the village of Johnville. Drive through the town and the cemetery is on your left just at the eastern edge of town on the hillside, beside the Catholic cemetery, Notre Dame de la Paix.
Background: Originally part of the Township of Eaton, it is today in the Cookshire-Eaton jurisdiction of Le Haut St-François. Johnville, which was once a bustling town on the Railway line, is now a small town in a farming area. Johnville cemetery been in use since about 1820. It is sometimes referred to in church records as Maple Grove Cemetery or Maplewood Cemetery or Union Cemetery. It is still used today, and is well kept and almost all stones are readable.
