Directions: The hamlet of Island Brook in the old Newport Township is located on Route 212 about 15 km east of Cookshire. Watch for Ch de L'Eglise (Church Road) on your right.

Background: The Island Brook United Church used to be here in front of the cemetery but it was sold in 2016 and removed. The cemetery has been in use since the 1860's and is used today. This area is now considered part of the Cookhire-Eaton agglomeration of the MRC of Le Haut St-François.
